Max L. Jacobson Obituary
Max L. Jacobson
1936 ~ 2013
Max L Jacobson left this life on October 15, 2013 with a hammer in his hand, ready to serve our Father in Heaven in building mansions on high. Maxie (or Jake) was born February 9, 1936 to John L. and Sarah Myrle Jacobson in Park City, Utah. He has three of the greatest siblings: Hal, Dee, and Bonnie Jo Simons. He grew up in Charlston, where every police officer in town knew him by name. He met and married his sweetheart, Bonnie Milliner on June 6, 1959. Their marriage was sealed in the St, George Temple on June 22, 1963. Their life was blessed by four beautiful girls: Cindy Tippetts, Cathy Gonzales (Rory and Michele Hathenbruck), Cody Ann Dupass (Matt), and Carol Bernice Gibbs (Michael). Max and Bonnie shared their love with thirteen grandchildren: Amy, Jennifer (Shawn), Jason (Kerri), Chris (Becky), Josh (Jessica), John (Laurie Jo), Jon (Meredith), Adam, Cassi, Sarah, McKenzi (Hyrum), Katie (Colton), Jacob. To make life even more special, eleven great-grandchildren where added to their posterity. Many loved our Candy Man, and became even the sweeter because they were a part of their adopted grandpa's life. Max was a builder, not just of amazing structures, but of the character and testimonies of those who knew him. Everyone who met him always stood a little taller, and now so is he.
