Orrin E. "Chet" Greene, beloved husband of the late Joyce "Peachy" Greene, died March 13, 2013 of causes incident to age at age 87.
Survived by four children Molly (Peter) Hahn, Stewart "Skip" (DeAnne), Jocelyn (Jeff) Monroe and Roger (Nancy); eight grandchildren Emily (Chris) Jones, Lexi (Mason) Diedrich, Robert Hahn, Claire, Mary-Cate (Byron) Palmer, Meghan, Andrew and Sarah; and two great-grandchildren Rylan Jones and Rendi Jones.
He graduated from East High School and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Utah, where he was also a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He served submariner in the Navy in
World War II
. He was the founder and President of Skyline Electric, Inc. He served as president of the Cottonwood Country Club and treasurer for the Utah Tennis Association. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was deeply loved and respected by friends and business associates. His family especially admired him for how he cared for and loved his late wife Peachy. He was also an avid tennis player and golfer.
A celebration of his life will be held at St. James' Episcopal Church, Midvale, Utah, Monday, May 20, 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beckstrand Cancer Association, 20341 Birch Street, Ste 310, Newport Beach, CA 92660.
