Later, Paul, Lorna, and their young son moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After Paul's divorce, he married the love of his life Glena Paulsen Stansfield on September 2, 1955. He became a father to Glena's four children. Paul, Glena, and family moved back to Coloma, Michigan and they had two more children.
Paul was a purchasing agent for Heath Company in St. Joseph, MI. He also began his church service there, serving as a Branch President. After the two oldest children graduated from high school. Paul pursued his goal of obtaining a college degree and attended Michigan State University for two and a half years. Paul took a three year break and worked at Lovejoy Manufacturing in South Haven Michigan. He completed his education at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI when he was 44. After graduating from college, he served as Bishop of the Kalamazoo Ward for six years. Paul moved to St. Paul, MN and became an owner in a barter exchange.
