Roland E. Curtis Obituary
1928 ~ 2013
Roland E. Curtis passed away February 5, 2013 after a short illness in Layton, Utah.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret, and daughters, Virginia Parry, Anne Curtis, Cindy Simpson (deceased) and husband Floyd Simpson, and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was born in Salt Lake City in 1928. His life encompassed 23 years of service as an officer in the U.S. Army, Signal Corps, traveling world-wide in his assignments including Korea and Vietnam.
In addition, he enjoyed teaching ballroom dancing with his wife for 30 years. He earned degrees from Oregon State University in Electrical Engineering and a master's in Education from Arizona State University.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Orchard Ward Building, 1533 North 1075 West, Farmington, UT. Visitation with family will be from 9:45 a.m.-10:45 a.m. in the same building.
