Today we say goodbye to an AMAZING Wife, Mother, Grandma, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. Terri Burtenshaw Gordon was born September 17, 1947 to Horace Ralph and Georgan Hurst Burtenshaw in Monticello, Utah. Terri married William Arval Gordon on April 9, 1976 in the Salt Lake Temple where they were sealed for Time and all Eternity. Terri returned home to her loving Heavenly Father on Saturday July 6, 2013.
Terri worked as a school teacher with Jordan School District for 30+ years inspiring many children's lives and was often referred to as "the pig lady" for her love and collection of pigs. Terri loved teaching; she continued to tutor neighborhood children and teaching primary spreading her love of the Gospel.
Terri truly loved her family and friends. She was known for her funny sense of humor, compassion, unconditional love and her zest for life, making friends where ever she went. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Terri was preceded in death by her Father, Sister Deanne, Brothers Art & Steve. She is survived by her Mother, Sisters Rosemarr and Trudy, Husband, Son Cameron, Daughter Fehr, Daughter Lona and her two darling Grandsons, Cohen and Kacen who were the light of her life.
A viewing for all who loved her will be held Wednesday, July 10 from 6-8pm. Funeral Services will then be held Thursday July 11th at 11 am. Viewing for family and friends will be held from 9:30-10:30 prior to services. All held at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S. Interment, Draper City Cemetery. The Family has asked that those who attend the funeral services wear bright colors in remembrance of Terri's love of life.
