L B Johnson Obituary
L B Johnson, Jr. died on June 16, 2015. He was born in Kingsville, TX on June 7, 1936 and was preceded in death by his parents Lewis Benjamin and Inez Richelene Johnson. LB graduated from Peacock Military Academy in San Antonio. Soon after he went to work for Welex, a subsidiary of Halliburton. After 17 years in South Texas, he transferred to the International division, living in Venezuela, Libya, Italy and 33 years in the Netherlands where he became a dual Dutch/United States citizen. He was a member of Travis Park Methodist Church and served on the Peacock Military Academy Alumni Association board. L B is survived by his sons Lloyd Benjamin Johnson of Mcalister, Oklahoma, Eric Allen Johnson of San Antonio; daughter, Christi (Johnson) Eller Zenner and son Clint (Johnson) Eller of Fredericksburg, TX. 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and two brothers. A memorial service will be held at Wesley Peacock House, 2811 W. Ashby Place on June 29, 2015 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Travis Park Methodist Church or the Peacock Military Academy Alumni Association, 732 Cliffmore, Keller, TX. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to know L.B. over the past several years, he always had great stories to tell! I am sorry I didn't get to attend the memorial service so that I could hear more remembrances of him. I know he is making others happy up in heaven and he won't be forgotten here!

The one thing I will always remember about LB from our days at Peacock was the value he placed on friendship. Once you became his friend, you had a friend for life. If being a true friend is a virtue, then LB had it in spades. He will be missed by his many friends from all over the world.

L B was one of the nicest guys I knew. While he was somewhat (10 years) older when I met him he always treated me, my sister, and my parents well. I have known him since his days at Peacock, and I will fondly remember him forever. God bless you L B, our love goes with you.
