JANNASCH
Alvin August Jannasch, age 90, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013. He was a proud veteran who served during World War II in the Army Air Corps. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, he received his Masters degree in Education from Trinity University in San Antonio. Alvin was a teacher for 28 years. He and his wife, Betty were members of First Baptist Church. He was an intelligent, warm hearted man, a loving father and caring husband. Alvin had a passion for friends and family and devoted a majority of his life to enriching others through education. He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Jannasch; mother, Lura Leonard; brother, Aaron Jannasch; and sisters, Paula White and Tempest Wager. Alvin is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Jean Jannasch; son and daughter-in-law, Robert A. Jannasch and wife, Shelley (Lewisville, TX); daughter and son-in-law, Karen Kittrell and husband, Gary (Northville, MI), grandchildren: Austin Scott Kittrell and Collin Brant Kittrell; brother, David Jannasch; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 17th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Porter Loring on McCullough.
