Andrew Galvan was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend, was born on November 30, 1949 and embraced God on July 23, 2014 at the age of 64 in San Antonio, TX. He loved to be surrounded with his children, family, and loyal dog Luna. He was a graduate at Lanier High School in San Antonio, TX. He served in the Navy. He then went on to work at Kelly Air Force Base as a sheet metal mechanic, where he was awarded numerous awards for his cost savings techniques and repairs. He had a strong passion in music in which he pursued singing in a band called The Alexis Band. When he wasn't cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs from the comfort of his Lazy Boy chair, he could be found outside with his dog Luna and his many tomato plants. Andrew was preceded in death by both mother and father as well as his siblings Minnita Sotos and Adam Galvan. He is survived by his daughters Andrea Galvan and Sandy Escamilla; son Andrew Galvan, Jr. and wife Cynthia; grandchildren A.J. and Isaiah Galvan; sisters Carmen Villarreal and Doroteo Luna, Anita and Santos Leos; brothers Tomas and Mary Galvan, and Martin and Gloria Galvan; companion Cindy. Andrew will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
Visitation will begin at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Brookehill Funeral Home. Funeral Procession will depart on Thursday, July 31, 2014 after a Chapel Service at 12:00 PM at Brookehill Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
