BARRIENTES
Arthur "Porky" Barrientes entered into eternal rest to be with our Lord, reuniting with his dearly departed parents Jose and Crisanta, son Arthur, sisters Josephine, Beatrice and Eudelia, and brother Louie on February 25, 2013 at the age of 88. Arthur was born on July 21, 1924 in San Antonio, Texas. Arthur was a distinguished WWII veteran who served with distinction from December 1st, 1942 until December 9th, 1945 in the Army Air Corps. He is loved and will be deeply missed by his beloved and adoring wife Rita, with whom he enjoyed 61 years. His loving children Louie (Stella), Albert (Mary Alice), Jesse (Diana), Eugene (Yolanda), Beatrice, Elvia (Victor), Cynthia, Veronica (Dan) and granddaughter Kimberly, will also cherish him in their memories. Arthur was blessed with 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters in law, who will miss him deeply and will always treasure their memories of him. A special thanks to VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, with a special thanks to Bridget and Sandra. A visitation will begin, Friday, March 01, 2013, 5:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home, Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church with interment to follow in San Fernando Cemetery II.
