GARCIA
Arturo H. Garcia, born November 10, 1929, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the age of 83. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War earning a Purple Heart and two Bronze Service Stars. Arturo retired after 43 years of service from Downtown Baptist Hospital as a Surgical Technician. Arturo is survived by his wife of 57 years, Teresa Rangel Garcia; daughters, Yolanda Martinez (Joe), Olivia Martinez (David), Martha Vera (Tom), Mary Helen Votion (Mario), Isabel Luna (Jorge); and 8 grandchildren. Visitation will begin on Friday, December 7, at 12:00 PM with the Rosary to be recited at 12:30 PM followed by a Funeral Mass to be offered at 1:00 PM at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery with military honors. The family would like to thank the Wellmed Clinic, Dr. Gordy Hall and staff, Audie L. Murphy Veterans Hospital, Oncology S.A., Dr. Syed Raza and staff, Heart to Heart Hospice and a special caretaker, his niece, Gloria Rangel.
