PELTIER
Carl Peltier has gone to be with his Lord after succumbing to a lengthy illness MDS. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Shirley D. Peltier in Kirby; seven children: Mike , Carl L., & Mark Peltier, Diane Aaron, Mary Lawrence, Elizabeth Jemmott & Julia Ward; 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren & joining 2. Brother Donald Ray Peltier & sisters Tish Durbin, Betty Lou Tackett, & Betty Ann Moses. A veteran of WWII serving as a US Marine, making 4 assault landings & receiving the Purple Heart in action on Okinawa. After the war served the remainder of his career in the US Army, became a teacher at Page & Kirby JH, but mostly at Judson HS where his students called him Mr. Bubbles. A member of the Purple Heart Assoc. DAV. VFW where he served as past district 20 commander, past state VFW surgeon, & President Texas Chapter 2nd Marine Division. Also member of American Legion, Marine Corp League, & Knights of Columbus. Throughout his life Carl served his country, community & family w/ pride & dedication. Visitation to be held on Oct. 30 at Funeral Caring USA from 1-5pm w/ Rosary to follow at 6pm. Services will be Oct. 31 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Kirby, TX at 12pm & interment at Ft. Sam Houston at 1:45pm.
