Corinne Hall Ebner, known by all as Connie, passed away in her home on March 6, 2014. Born 1926 and raised in San Angelo, TX, Corinne graduated from the University of Texas in Austin. In 1948 she married Tom Ebner with whom she had four children, and they resided in Dallas.
From 1977 to 1994, Connie worked for Hartford Insurance. She transferred from Dallas to San Antonio around 1983 and became supervisor of the Hartford Coding Department. Following her retirement, she lived with her daughter in Fair Oaks Ranch.
Corinne was predeceased by her parents, Corinne and Louis Hall, her brothers Roe and Pat Hall, her former spouse, and her youngest child Bobby. She is survived by her daughter Becky Ebner Hoag of Fair Oaks Ranch, her two sons and their wives: Louis and Carol of Portola Valley, CA, and Tommy and Elaine of Friendswood, Texas. Connie also is survived by her grandchildren: Jake, Clay, Will, Sarah and Jesse Ebner, Paige Gridack, and Meara Griffith as well as her sister-in-law Nancy Hall and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express great appreciation to the team at Alamo Hospice/Boerne and to Nurse Next Door/Fair Oaks Ranch for their kindness, compassion and support during her final months.
Connie's favorite charities included the Wildlife Refuge at Kendalia (and numerous other animal causes), vets/wounded warriors, programs dealing with children's health and welfare, Native American Indian scholarships for children, and the Republican Party. In lieu of flowers, please consider a charitable contribution.
Family and friends will sorely miss Connie's wit, her stories, her cantankerous and independent spirit. Upon cremation, she will return to her home in San Angelo where a private family, graveside service at Fairmont Cemetery will reunite Corinne with her loved ones.
