CASAUBON
Cristina Elena Lopez Casaubon, age 64, born on August 18, 1949 in Antilla, Oriente, Cuba passed away on September 26, 2013 in her home surrounded by friends and family. She fought a two year battle with breast cancer. In her search for freedom, Cristina immigrated to the United States in 1982 with her husband and two children. Through hard work and dedication she and her family owned and operated Rush American Printing Inc. She is preceded in death by her parents, Teodoro Lopez Fernandez and Francisca Betancor Romero. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Pablo Luis Casaubon; Daughter Lisel Casaubon; Son Luis Casaubon, MD and wife Kristen; Granddaughters: Julia, Elena "Ellie" & Finley; Siblings: Teodoro Lopez and wife Teresa, Marcia Lopez, Cecilia Vinas and husband Mario & Martha Rodriguez; Nieces and Nephews: Isabel, Bill, Alejandro, Pedro, Frank, Ariel, Patricia, Douglas & Luis Andres.Cristina was an avid collector of Cuban coins and stamps. She also enjoyed crocheting and needle work while talking politics. She lived her life with the guiding principal that family always comes first. Cristina will be greatly missed by all. The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to her medical team of Dr. John Galan, Dr. Ronald Drengler, Dr. Orlando Suris, Dr. J. Fernando Triana, Mrs. Gail Hutzler, Dr. Daniel J. Booser, Dr. Jennifer J. Wheeler, MD Anderson and Vitas Hospice.
