Dorothy Lee Taylor Manley Obituary
MANLEY
Dorothy Lee Taylor Manley passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2013. She was born on September 10, 1950 to John Thomas Taylor, Jr. and Bonnie Mae Taylor. She was married to Robert Merrill Manley, Jr. Throughout their 43 years of marriage, she served beside him carrying out God's work. She also was an avid quilter, scrapbooker and enjoyed playing games with friends and family. Even at 60 years of age, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of attending college. She graduated from Hallmark College with honors in 2011. Shortly before her graduation, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Even under those circumstances, Dorothy continued embracing and celebrating life. She was preceded in death by her father John Thomas Taylor, Jr., her brother John Thomas Taylor, III and her soul mate Robert Merrill Manley, Jr. Dorothy is survived by her mother Bonnie Mae Taylor, her sister Donna Taylor Arther, her son Robert Merrill Manley, III and his wife Dawn Marie Manley and their children Ann-Marie (and her fiancé Kirk Mansfield), Victoria Ann, Madison Leigh, Her daughter Dawn Renee Doubrava and her children Jonathan David, Zachary Taylor, Alyssa Paige and Allyson Yvonne. She will also be missed by numerous other family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bible Translation Ministry.
SERVICES
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Funeral Services will be on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 12:00pm at the funeral home chapel, with interment to follow at Mission Burial Park North.
