CASILLAS
Dr. Ernest Alexander Casillas of Kerrville, TX passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Born 9 March 1938 in San Antonio to Alfred and Edmea Garcia Casillas, he was raised in San Antonio and attended Central Catholic. He graduated from St. Mary's University in San Antonio and completed medical school at the University of Texas in Galveston. Dr. Casillas was a Captain in the U.S. Army, serving as a medical officer in Korea. On 7 January 1967, he married his beloved Karen Marie Fenderbosch. They lived in Napa, California while he completed his residency and returned to San Antonio where he practiced as a psychiatrist. Dr. Casillas and his family enjoyed many years at their home in the historic King William district. Upon his retirement, he and Karen settled in Kerrville. He was preceded in death by his wife in 2010. Survivors include his children: daughter Celeste Marie Casillas of Plano, TX; son Thomas Patrick Casillas and wife Debra of Helotes, TX; and son Alexander James Casillas and wife Nancy of Plano, TX.; grandchildren Mary Catherine Casillas, Henry Alexander Casillas, and Lillian Grace Casillas all of Plano, TX; brother Albert Casillas and wife Margaret of San Antonio; brother Patrick Casillas and wife Holly of Welfare; six nephews and five nieces; and many other family members and friends.
SERVICES
Mass services will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3907 Harry Wurzbach Rd, SA, TX on Friday, 18 July 2014 at 12 p.m. Burial services will be held at the San Fernando Cemetery #2, 746 Castroville Rd, SA, TX on Saturday, 19 July 2014 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, we are asking that donations be made to The .
