Felipe Villarreal was born on September 5, 1917, in Laredo, Texas, and went into the loving arms of the Lord on May 21, 2013, at the age of 95. He is preceded in death by his parents, Santiago and Florencia Villarreal; his brothers, Jose, Rosalio, Fernando and Alberto; and his sister, Manuela Tijerina. He is survived by his sisters, San Juana Trevino and Carmen Grajeda; and numerous nieces and nephews. He honorably served his country in World War II in the United States Marine Corps. Visitation will be held at Castillo Mission Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2013, with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Procession departs at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, for a 12 Noon Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. The entire family would also like to give their appreciation for the love and care that his niece, Elsa Gomez, gave him during the last ten years of his life. His family would also like to give special thanks to VITAS Hospice for their compassion and gentle care. He will be missed and remembered for the disciplined life he lived, and for teaching us how to live and how to die with dignity. Services under the direction of Castillo Mission Funeral Home.
