Dear Melton Family:
It is with deepest sadness that I extend my condolences to you on the loss of your beloved.
As Chair of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations, I am sincerely thankful for his valiant service and dedication to our great country.
May the love and the wonderful memories you shared with him help you when you need it most. He will never be forgotten, and your family will be remembered in my prayers.

Our hearts go out to you and your family in your time of sorrow. We want you to always know, wherever you may go, no matter where you are, we will never be far away. We only wish we could be there for you to lean on. As long as there is the phone and E-mail, distance is just a finger tap away. Lavada, Sharron, our prayers are with you and always remember how much you are cared for. Mel and Barbara Burton

Forrest was truly a great man and
one of the people I looked forward to seeing each week at Alamo PC's "Doctor is In" (member computer help).
I enjoyed his humor and good spirit in spite of some of the difficult problems some of our customers brought him. I wish his family peace and grace in the days ahead. We are better having known him.

On behalf of the Alamo Personal Computer Organization, we wish to extend our condolances and sympathy to the family of Forrest Melton. As one of the members of the Dr Is In group, that did a great job helping members with computer problems, I know there are many members whom Forrest helped with their individual computer problems who are the better for having known him. He was always very friendly and willing to joke with me, even when I would say something like, "You here again! Your computer must really be 'broke bad' and you probably needed to get some 'GOOD' help fixing it, so it will work properly." His response would usually be something like, "How about letting me work on your computer." My response might be, "No way, I want mine to keep on working." Then we would each smile and exchange pleasantries. Forrest was truly one of the "Good Guys" and anyone who knew him can not help but remember him as such. Thank you for sharring him with Alamo PC and with the many people whom he came in contact with.

My deepest sympathies to all who knew and loved Forrest. His passing is a tremendous loss to this world. Forrest is truly one of the good guys and anyone knowing him could not help feeling befriended. I always did, and will continue to, feel close to him although we were only two ships passing. Forrest will always remain one of those whom I will regret not knowing much, much better, but hopefully that will be changed someday.

Ms. Lavada and Sharron, I know I speak for our entire family when i say we are deeply saddened by your (our) loss. I always remember when you all would come over for christmas eve and Forrest would be the last one to walk to the door. He was a great man and he brought alot of love and kind spirit with him in whoever he dealt with. We love you both and will always be a part of our immediate family! Our thought and prayers are with you and will always be. Sincerely, J.J.

Sharron,
I'm sorry I never got to meet your dad, but I know he must have been a great man because he raised a great daughter. My thoughts are with you and your mom.

Mrs. Melton and family, when I saw Forrest at the Crossroads Mall Resource Center or at a Computer Show, I noticed that he lost some weigh. He never told me why, but he would say that he felt better. When I saw Forrest after volunteering at the “Doctor Is In” for Alamo P.C. he would tell me about a challenged computer. He enjoyed talking about the difficult ones. Forrest spent a tremendous amount of time fixing other member’s computers. And afterwards he would stay and look on the Internet for other possible corrections.
His cheerful presence will truly be missed at the Alamo P.C. Organization. I always respected his opinions and most of the time his point of view was much better mine.
We're sorry for your loss of Forrest.
