JOHNSON
Dr. J.E.B. Johnson, M.D., "a Great Teacher and a Blessing to All" passed away in the early morning hours of his 62nd birthday, Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, 2013. He was born Nov. 28, 1951 in San Antonio, one of seven children born to Dr. John E. Johnson, Jr., M.D. and Mary Shirley Jimmerson Johnson. Jeb graduated in 1969 from Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati, OH. He graduated from Texas Wesleyan Univ. with a BS in Chemistry and earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. His residency in Family Practice was completed at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. He enjoyed 15 years of private practice in Lake Jackson, TX before moving to San Antonio in 2006 and practicing at Texas Med Clinics. Jeb helped and touched many lives. He loved his patients and they loved him. Jeb had a passion for playing golf. His love of golf was equal to his love of medicine. He enjoyed playing at the Alsatian Golf Course. When the golf course was redesigned he took a genuine interest in it. He shared his talent as a gifted woodworker at the golf course. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Shirley Johnson and brother, Allen Johnson. Survivors include his loving wife of 26 years, Debra Bartolucci Johnson of San Antonio; daughters, Sarah Cherry-Gruener and husband Steven of Austin, Amy Jones and husband Jeffery of San Antonio; granddaughters, Madison Cherry and Victoria Cherry; father, Dr. John E. Johnson, Jr., M.D. of Ft. Worth; siblings, Meredith (Joe) Donaldson of Columbia, MO, Anna Kay (John Watt) Johnson of Boulder, CO, Susan Johnson Dycus, Michael Scot Crowfoot (Kevin Stein) Johnson and Jamie Frank Eubank Johnson all of Ft. Worth; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 6:30 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home in Castroville, TX. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Castroville. Memorials may be made in his memory to Habitat for Humanity.
