Jack C. Berry, a Navy Veteran of WWII and the Korean War, from Universal City, Texas passed away on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 at N.E. Baptist Hospital surrounded by family and close friends at the age of 88. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 4, 1925 to Martin L. and Sarah B. (McAfee) Berry. Over the years, Mr. Berry worked as an airplane mechanic at Randolph A.F.B. and later served in numerous callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gene, and wife Rebecca. He is survived by his children Pamela Sweeney, Jacqueline Michel; grandson Justin Michel; stepdaughters Rebecca Wood, Libit Jones, Annette Knight and Irene Huerta; several grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and long time friend Fred Berry. A graveside service with honors will be held Friday, November 29, 2013 at 11:45 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
