James Baird Obituary
James "Chris" Baird passed away June 22, 2014 at the age of 65. He was born July 26, 1948 and leaves behind his wife, Susana Rivero Baird; his daughters, Leslie and Kendall; his sisters, Robin and Candy and his precious little "dude" grandsons, Michael and Evan. Chris was born and raised in San Antonio, graduated from Lee H.S in 1966 and then joined the Army, serving in the Artillery Div. He was a very outgoing man and easy to talk to; it was only natural that he would make his career in Real Estate and Insurance sales. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and hunting and always had a tale to tell. He shared much of these fun-filled times traveling near and afar with his lifelong friends Ray Boazman, GG Gale, Ralph Bradford, Charlie Ormond, Richard Osborn, Eric, Mark and Lyle Larson. He was a member of the San Antonio Bass Club for many years and Club Champion/top ranking fisherman several times. He and his wife Susana shared many wonderful trips including an adventure-filled fly fishing honeymoon with their best friends, Ray and Betty. Aside from all his passion, his greatest love was for Susana, Leslie, Kendall and the little "dudes". forever proud of all their accomplishments. Chris will be missed by many and his grin will always be on our minds and in our hearts. Special thanks to Dr. Jennifer Dacus and the wonderful team of Nurses at the Audie Murphy VA Hospital and Dr. Trey Jones and staff at Wilford Hall.
