STAHL
James Anthony Stahl (69) passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Harris S. Stahl and Ethel Irene Marr Stahl. He was born March 6, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas, where he called home his entire life. He is survived by his two daughters, Tracy Lee Smith and husband Richard Smith, and Shelly Suzanne Andrews. He has five grandchildren: Robyn Carroll, Christopher Carroll, Ashley Andrews, Lindsey Gilbert and Lexie Abbott. He is also survived by siblings Elizabeth Ann Clark, Roy Layton and his wife, Judy Lattimer Stahl, and John Mark Stahl, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by two aunts,
Joanne Marr James, Margaret Marr and many cousins. He was a 1961 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, attended San Antonio College and The University of Texas at Austin. He was a member of the United States Coast Guard Reserves during the Vietnam era. He worked for the railroad industry and then joined his father as a wildcatter in the oil patch. He owned SunRoc Engery and TexSun Oil and Gas and brought in many of the smaller oil wells in South, Texas. He had a great love of history and was an avid reader. In his earlier days he loved hunting, camping, and the outdoors. He loved to search riverbeds and fields for arrowheads. He was known for his humor and his fun loving ways. He is best known for writing poetry and songs. He was baptized in the Baptist church and had a passionate love for Jesus and the Lord God Almighty. He never let a day pass without reading his Bible.

Memorial Services will be held at the Little Church of La Villita, 418 Villita St.,
BLDG 13, San Antonio, Texas 78205 on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.
