CANCHOLA
MSGT Julian John Canchola, Retired U.S. Army, age 61 of Castroville, was born on Feb. 5, 1952, in Victoria, TX, to the late Julian F. Canchola and Eva Salinas Canchola. He passed away Feb. 12, 2013 in San Antonio. Julian graduated from Victoria High School in Victoria, TX in 1970. He entered the U.S. Army on Aug. 8, 1971 and retired as a Military Police Officer on Mar. 4, 1994. He attended Maryland University and received an associates degree in Criminal Justice Law Enforcement from Central Texas College. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Irene Canchola. Survivors include his wife, Elvira Vasquez Canchola of Castroville; daughters and sons-in-law, Veronica and Howard Fillmore of Castroville and Eva Renee and Kevin Branch of San Antonio; grandchildren, Phillip Canchola, Demetrius and Dezmond Branch; sister, Lucinda (Joe) Morales of Victoria. The Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home will be open for visitation on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Interment with Full Military Honors will be held on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. Arrangements by Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Visit www.tondre-guinn.com
