WAUSON-GEORG
Lessie Lorine Wauson-Georg, 89, peacefully passed away April 7, 2014 surrounded by her family. Lessie was born in Runge Texas on December 14, 1924 to Barney and Alma Sawyer.

She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Arlon Georg, her children Richard (Lois Freeman) Wauson, Jr., Patricia Larzelere, Susan (Paul) Roberts, and Sherri (Craig) Lubianski. She was so proud to tell people that between her and Arlon they had 12 children, 20 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, 1 brother and her husband of 47 years, Richard E. Wauson, Sr.

She lived her early years in and around the towns of Runge and Floresville. In 1942 she married Richard E. Wauson and they lived in New Orleans for the duration of WWII. They then lived in several small south Texas towns where Richard taught school and Lessie was a housewife, mother, and occasional school teacher. In 1958 they moved to San Antonio where she lived the rest of her life.

Her and Arlon married in 1995 after both having lost their spouses. They loved each other and had many years of fun before health issues took priority. She survived breast cancer, a stroke, but never found relief from the pain of shingles.

She loved all the years involved with the Alzafar Shrine, Camp Alzafar, and the San Antonio Livestock Exposition Ambassadors. She was known for her love of cooking.
