Mary Louise Jungman Burell, age 76, of Castroville, TX, passed away March 10, 2013 in San Antonio, TX. Mary Louise was born on August 15, 1936 at home in west Bexar County to the late Eugene Daniel Jungman, Jr. and Irene Helen Mehr Jungman. Also preceding her in death is her husband Melvin (Jimmy) Burell, an infant brother and sister. Mary Louise and Jimmy were married on June 27, 1954 and celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2004 the year Jimmy died. They owned and operated Dan's Meat Market for 25 years. They retired and sold the business March 1, 1995. Mary Louise was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, St. Louis Bereavement Committee, St. Ann's Society (past officer), Hermann Sons Lodge 71(past Hermann Sons Dance officer), Catholic Life Branch 17, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Castro Colonies, Castroville Chamber of Commerce (past Director for 8 yrs., member of Red Vest Committee, 9 yrs. co-chairman for Old Fashion Christmas and 4th of July Parade), Past President of the Alsatian Steinbach Haus Committee, Past Chairman of the St. Louis Quilt Raffle, and Castroville Quilters and Stitchers. Mary Louise is survived by her son, Danny Burell of Quihi and daughters, Linda (Alton) Voigt of Rockport, Paulette (Nelson) Martin of rural Hondo, and Eileen Burell (John Pearson) of Karnes City; grandchildren, Leslie (Jimmy) Kenfield, Alan Voigt, Karlee (Simon) Dinehart, Lyndee Martin, and Alan Bowles; great grandchildren, Talon Kenfield and Martin Dinehart; siblings, Barbara (Howard) Schirmer, Vincent Jungman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Leatrice (Tootie) Hans, Dorothy Boehme, Larry (Charlotte) Burell, Gerald (Brenda) Burell, and Glenn (Marcine) Burell. Mary Louise fought a long battle against lung infections and rheumatoid arthritis. Visitation will be Wednesday, Mar. 13, 2013 from 12 noon to 5:30 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Wednesday at 7 p.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church. Rosary followed by entombment will be held on Thursday, Mar. 14, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Castroville. Memorials may be given to Castroville Steinbach House or St. Louis Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and her nephew and godchild, Rick Burell. Her honorary pallbearers will be her much loved nieces and nephews, Joe and Ernie Schirmer, Kenny and Kevin Jungman, Kevin and Shane Hans, Valerie Reeder, Donna, Vickie, Nelson and Curtis Boehme, Mike and Pat Burell, Cindy Mechler, Stacie Arnold, Kristin Crump, Michelle, Renae, and Denise Burell.
