DEES
Matt Moss Dees, Jr., 81, a respected member of the Windcrest community, died here died August 2. He worked in the agricultural chemical business before his retirement, and he was an active member of the Windcrest United Methodist Church until his death. He was born August 21, 1930 in Llano, Texas, graduated from Southwestern University with majors in chemistry and physics, and served in the Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joann Jones Dees; by his brother, Myron Dees (Marilyn) of Canyon and by four children: Russell Dees of Copenhagen, Denmark, Robin Leinen (Chris) of Santa Rosa, California; Randy Dees (Mary Jo) of Dripping Springs; and Richard Dees (Jennifer Kwon) of Rochester, New York. He also had seven grandchildren: Emma and Hannah Gintberg-Dees, Maggie and Max Leinen, Kristen Dees, and Benjamin Dees and Cordelia Kwon..
A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 9 at 3 p.m. at the Windcrest United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to the Music Ministry of the Windcrest United Methodist Church, 8101 Midcrown, San Antonio, TX 78239.
