Norman L. Lindell, (Lindy), DDS, passed away on June 04, 2014. He was born on February 21, 1936, in Takoma Park, Maryland to Helen and Griffith Lindell. After serving in the Air Force in the U.S. and Korea, he attended college, and graduated from The University of Texas Dental School in 1964. He retired in 1996. Norman was preceded in death by his parents Griff and Helen Lindell, several aunts, wife Barbara's parents, Willis, and Lottie Kotzebue, baby Shirley Ann Kotzebue, and Barbara's brother Willis E. Kotzebue, Jr. (Bill). Also Barbara grandparent's Curt and Lilke Ruehle. Norman is survived by his wife, Barbara Lindell, daughters, Julie Ann (Lindell) May, husband John (Chip) May, grandchildren Lindy and Morgan May. Also surviving is son, Christopher Todd (Chris) Lindell, wife, Erin, grandchildren Kaitlin and C.J. Norman was known as "Paw Paw". Also surviving are his sisters, Violet Turke, her sons Rhys Williams and wife Lorna M.D., and Andrew Turke, D.D. S. Rhys and Lorna's children are Pryce and Amelia. Andrew's children are Ashton and Olivia. Also a sister Patricia Nelson and her children, Christine, her husband Ron Sanzi, and children Megan and Molly and Pat's son Michael and wife Roxy. Norman enjoyed deep sea fishing in Port Aransas, golf, hunting, and his farm in Kingsbury, Texas, where he once raised cattle. He enjoyed investing in real estate, stocks and bonds, and had rental properties. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, Texas from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. with a chapel funeral service to follow at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff of "Senior Care of Windcrest" nursing home, especially nurse "Marina", and the staff of Vitas Hospice for their care of Norman.
