August 11, 1962 - July 24, 2014
Our loving father, son and brother, a certified public accountant, Richard Brian Forsythe, 51, passed away July 24, 2014. He was born Aug. 11, 1962, to Patricia Forsythe and the late Charles Forsythe, in San Antonio. He is survived by two daughters who represent his ultimate pride and joy in life, Briana and Alyssa Forsythe; his mother; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Patricia Forsythe; one sister and brother-in-law, Brenda Forsythe Rarick and Ty Rarick; two nieces; three nephews; four great-nieces; and one great-nephew, aunts and uncles including Emily and Joseph Newman of San Antonio; cousins and numerous friends in many states including Nevada. He was kind and loving to many.

He touted the importance of education and graduated from McCollum High School in 1980 and from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a bachelor's degree of Business Administration in Accounting in 1995. He worked as an accountant for HEB Grocery Stores in San Antonio for 18 years. He moved to Las Vegas, NV and worked for several companies as a corporate controller. He also did taxes for many of his friends and family, often out of the goodness of his heart.

With his infectious laugh and personality, he turned the ordinary into extraordinary. His engaging demeanor made everybody feel like somebody. He was a lifelong Christian who embraced and cultivated the goodness in all he met. We are comforted that he was greeted in Heaven by those who preceded him. We imagine that he was serenaded by his father on the harmonica as he was reunited with his loving grandfather, Smitty.

A celebration of his life will be on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rick's memory to .
