Robert Joseph Frank passed suddenly into the arms of our Lord on Monday, March 11, 2013 at the age of 72. He was born in Rochester, Minnesota on March 9, 1941 to Ralph and Catherine Frank. He was the oldest of three children. In 1959, he left the family dairy farm to join the Air Force after graduating from Lourdes High School. During the course of his military service, he was stationed at both Lackland and Brooks Air Force Base as a Physiological Training Specialist in the Altitude and Centrifugal Force Chambers. After discharge, he attended the University of Texas in Austin where he received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1969. He worked in several state and federal positions. During his tenure at Randolph Air Force Base, he served as the Air Education and Training Command Pavement Engineer and later as a Program Manager. In February 2000, he retired after 30 years of Federal Civil Service. He served the Lord at Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church as an usher, a Stephens Minister, and a Trustee. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Julia Elaine; his 94 year old mother, Catherine Herron; brother, James Frank and wife Barbara; sister, Mary Kay Tointon and husband Glenn; 3 children, Kimberly Caise, Heather Grundhauser, and Robert Frank, Jr.; 5 grandchildren, Ashley and Lauren Grundhauser, Tyler Frank, Christopher Hines, and Amber Wolfe; and a niece and 5 nephews.
