Roger Carlton Trafton, 100, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014, in San Antonio. He was born on June 15, 1914 in East Bridgewater, MA to Carlton and Lucy Belle Trafton. Roger served his country during WWII and Korea and retired after 32 years in the military. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Trafton; and a son, Willard (Buddy) Polston. Survivors include his son Thomas Trafton and wife Lynda; daughters, Gwen Farris and husband Bert, Linda Hamilton and husband John; daughter-in-law, Lillie Polston; grandchildren, Alan Farris, Larry Farris, Linda Rangel, Buddy Polston, and Jason Polston; and 9 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Emeritus Oakwell Farms for their care and support. Roger mostly loved his family. And he very much enjoyed sports; especially the Cowboys and the Spurs. His goal for many years was to live to see 100 years old. His was a life well lived!!
