SGM Ronald Francis Still, USA, Ret., 70, of Selma, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on 14 November 2012. The son of Francis and Catherine Still, he was born in Grand Island, NE and grew up in North Platte, NE. After enlisting in the Army, he served in Germany, Korea and Vietnam and eventually settled at Fort Sam Houston, Texas as the AMEDD Historian. He was awarded many decorations, including the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal and Legion of Merit.

To his family, Ron leaves a legacy of integrity, love and loyalty; he exemplified "God, Family and Country". He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Chong Suk "Sue" Still; his son Thomas Still of San Antonio, TX; daughter Mary Still of Chandler, AZ; and daughter and son-in-law, Ann and CPT Keith Marshall of Ft. Bliss, TX; and beloved grandchildren, Wesley and Kimberly; he is also survived by in-laws Michael and Jeongsoon Kim; Yong Suk Kang and sons; Susan Mun and sons; and David, Un Suk, Tina and SSG David Rogers, Jr. Ron is also survived by Freddy and Willem Auliveld; his Brunkhorst, Duggan, Parsons, Piontkowski and Hayslette nieces and nephews and so many dear friends whom he cherished. He was preceded in death by his parents and his dear sisters and brothers-in-law.

Ron dedicated much of his time to Soldiers and Veterans; he was a proud member of the AMEDD Regiment, DAV, life member of VFW Post 2059, SA Conservation Society and many other groups. He enjoyed barbeques, watching news shows and spoiling his family.

Family will receive visitors on Tuesday, 20 NOV from 4:30 pm-8:30 pm with rosary at 7:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, Universal City, TX. A funeral mass will be on Wednesday, 21 NOV at 12:30 pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Selma, TX and the burial with full military honors will be at 2:30 pm at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
