MONTANA
Mrs. Rose Montana passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at the age of 90. Rose was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed. Rose's love for sports began as a young girl, when she played volleyball and was later a catcher for a local softball team. Her love for sports continued throughout her life. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Joe. Rose "Mama" is survived by her children Linda (Hank) DiGiovanni, Edmund (Angie) Montana, Rosemary (Rick) Westhoefer and Nanette (Steve) Falcon. She is also survived by her grandchildren Natalie, Debbie, Robert, Joseph, Nathan, Marcus, Danika, Danielle, Valerie Rose, Zach; 9 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose is also survived by sisters, Belia King and Connie Morales and brother, Johnny Salinas. Visitation will begin Sunday at 6:00 P.M. at The Angelus Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be offered Monday at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery No. 2.
