CUDD
Sandy Cudd, 68, a longtime resident of the Leon Springs/Fair Oaks, TX area died at St. Luke's Baptist Hospital on Monday, September 30, 2013.
Sandra Diane Spokely was born December 8, 1944 to Francis and Thelma (Bratteli) Spokely in Crookston, MN. She was baptized, confirmed and married at St. Petri Lutheran Church in Nielsville, MN. Sandy graduated from Climax, MN High School and she attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
While working for United Airlines she met John Asmus. They married in 1968, and with this union they had two children. Sandy later met the love of her life, Joseph Robert Cudd. They shared many of the same interests; they both enjoyed entertaining in their home, playing a round or two of golf, and they traveled extensively all over the world. When Sandy married JoeBob on January 2, 1999, she created an even larger family of children and grandchildren for her to love, embrace and spoil.
Loves in Sandy's life were her faith, her family and her friends, so many of us lost our best friend with her passing. Sandy enjoyed tennis, golf, gardening, traveling, and best noted for her Holiday decorating. She felt every room must have a Santa and a Christmas tree, for if you could still see green, more ornaments were needed. Sandy was wonderful in her correspondence with family and friends, never forgetting an occasion to send a card with a quick witty note thoughtfully tucked inside.
Sandy will be deeply missed by her husband JoeBob, San Antonio TX; her son Troy Asmus, Boerne, TX; her daughter Danielle (Andrew) Smith, Fair Oaks Ranch, TX; her step children Karen West, Boerne, TX; Robert (Melissa) Cudd, Jacksonville, TX; Rebecca (Tim) Geier Austin TX; her six grandchildren; Cody and Cade West, Meagan and Mason Cudd, & Mollie and Cooper Geier. Sandy is survived by her three brothers; Rodney (Becky) Spokely, Climax, MN; Francis Jr. (Linda) Spokely, East Grand Forks, MN; and Lonnie (June) Spokely, Hillsboro, ND; and several nieces and nephews. Blessed be the memory of this lovely lady.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Thelma.
Memorial services for Sandy Cudd will be held 11:00am Monday morning, October 7th 2013 at St Helena's Episcopal Church in Boerne TX.
