GLATMAN
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at a 2:00 PM Memorial Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Seymour Glatman, 88, who died on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Garden View Assisted Living in Lafayette.

Left to cherish his memories include his daughter, Cheryl Jean Smith of Arnaudville, Louisiana; one grandson, Kenneth Dwayne Smith and his wife, Robin of Robstown, Texas; and two great grandchildren, Alaina Dione Smith and Ryken Tanner Smith.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jacqueline Lee Glatman; his son, Michael Ayres Glatman; his parents, David and Anna Katrina Gousky Glatman; and his two brothers, Nate Glatman and Paul Glatman.

A native of New York, New York and resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for the past two years, Seymour Glatman was a retired owner of his own residential appraisal service. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II, where he later received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star in recognition for the sacrifice he made for his country. Seymour Glatman was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him and will be dearly missed.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 1:00 PM until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Heart of Hospice at 201 W Vermilion St, Lafayette, LA 70501.
