BAUTISTA
Sotero Bautista, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, joined our Lord on November 22, 2012 at the age of 57. He was surrounded by family and friends after an extended battle with cancer. He was a lifelong resident of San Antonio and served our country honorably during the Vietnam era where he found his passion for helping others and his calling in the medical field. He is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center and served his community proudly as a Registered Nurse and Certified Rehab Nurse for over 31 years. His passion and dedication to his profession included patient care as well as taking on roles as an educator and teaching others. He touched so many lives with his infectious laugh, the wisdom and knowledge he shared as a mentor, and his avid appreciation of sports. He had tremendous love for his family, friends, and colleagues. He is preceded in death by his parents Tony and Maria Bautista, siblings Tony Jr, Juan, and Nicolasa Bautista. He is survived by his children Yvonne, Joseph, Marc, and Lauren Bautista, his daughter in law Sunshine and five grandchildren Justine, Joleen, Janean, Mason, Jaydene, brothers Frank, Pete, Lorenzo, and Luis Bautista and sisters Anna Aleman, Maria Ellena Trevino and Janie Vasquez. Visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2012 at Mission Park North, 3401 Cherry Ridge, with Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 1 p.m. at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 700 Dewhurst, SATX 78213. Interment will follow at Mission Retama Cemetery.
