William Baldwin

BALDWIN
William Edward Baldwin, lovingly known as "Mr. Bill" passed away June 10, 2012 in Schertz, Texas at the age of 62. Bill was born in Waltham, Massachusetts on December 30, 1949. Bill traveled with his military family to various assignments and came to San Antonio in 1963. He graduated from Cole High School in 1968. After high school Bill attended San Antonio College, Southwest Texas State, and in 1972 enlisted into the Army. Bill was an exceptional golfer and was part of the Army golf team playing in numerous tournaments throughout the U.S. Soon after his discharge from the military, Bill moved to Minnesota for a short time, then to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. While in Hilton Head, Bill worked as a golf professional, owned his own restaurant, and was known in the area for his exceptional ability to hang wallpaper. Finally, Bill returned to Schertz, Texas where he completed his working career for Valero. "Mr. Bill" was preceded in death by his parents, CMS Edward G. and Mary L. Baldwin. Bill is survived by three sisters: Janice Baldwin of Cibolo, Cheryl Easton of Dallas, and Tricia Baldwin. Included as Bill's "extended family' are Waynette Dolan and John Sondergaard. Interment will be held at 10:00am, Monday, June 18, 2012 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Bill's honor to your favorite charity.
