Stevens MacGregor Price was born in March 1919 in Driggs, Idaho, and died Monday, July 29, 2013, in Nipomo. He moved to California with his parents and four siblings, just in time to have a job selling ice cream at the 1932 Olympics. Steve earned a BS in Chemistry and an MBA, and worked hard all of his life as a chemist, in sales and in real estate management. He was a World War II vet and saw action in North Africa, Italy, France and Germany. He was the recipient of two Purple Hearts. Steve was a lifelong, active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His family appreciates the love and support that both Steve and Marie received from their church family. Special thanks goes to Jerry Davis of Nipomo, Steve's caregiver and friend, for making his last days very comfortable ones. Steve is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie; sister, Esther; children Wendy, Sally, Robert (Marcia) and Dan (Charlotte); five grandchildren Laura, Barry, Andrew, Aaron and Steven; and by four and a half great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed a warm relationship with a large extended family, including Ron and Betsy Dozier of Houston, Texas (half-time time residents of Nipomo). A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at the Arroyo Grande LDS Chapel, 751 S. Traffic Way in Arroyo Grande. Marshall-Spoo 489-5552 Grover Beach
