The family of Mark "Bobby" Lee Farmer Sr., is saddened to announce that he lost his courageous three year fight with health issues at the age of 65, on November 22, 2013, at Dominican Hospital. He was born July 2, 1948 in Redwood City, CA to Robert and Edith Farmer.
Mark attended San Lorenzo Valley Schools, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving our country from 1969 - 1972, Private E-4. He owned his own business Farmer Gardening Service until 1994, he was then employed by Mountain School, and Happy Valley School doing maintenance, janitorial and grounds keeping until his retirement. He was a hard working family man.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Frances E. Farmer, Watsonville, daughter Michelle Farmer-Colombe and her husband Lou, Watsonville, he is also survived by one granddaughter Shanya; Sister Toni and Her husband Josh Rhodes, brother, Dean Farmer, Steven Michael, Aunt Connie Logg, Roseville, and multiple nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death son Mark Lee Farmer Jr. and Sister Louise Rosin.
We would like to thank all the wonderful staff at Dominican who cared for him during his multiple stays. We also would like to personally thank all of the wonderful, caring physicians and staff members that were available to the family whenever needed. Thank You Dr. Dean Kashino, Dr. Michael Yen, Dr. Martina Rodriguez, Dr. Zen Majuk, Dr. Laura Liker, and Dr. John Kaufmann, Dr. Jay Johnson & Colin Frogley, for your excellent care. We will be having a Celebration of Life for Mark, on Saturday June 7, 2014, 12:00 - 6:00pm, at the Corralitos Grange HalI, 165 Little Corral Way, Watsonville, CA 95076, bring a memorable story of Mark to share at this event please. In lieu of flowers, the family is creating a memorial area at the family's home.
