JOAN GOULD JANUARY 28, 2013 Age 87, resident of Santa Fe, passed away January 28, 2013. She was born in New York City to Kathryn Lyons Bonwit and Harold Bonwit. She married Jack Gould in New York in 1968. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Joan is survived by her daughter, Lisan Lema of Albuquerque; sister, Hope Bowker of Bermuda; nephews: Curtis and Ian Linnell of Bermuda; stepson, Robert Gould and wife Janet of South Carolina; stepdaughter, Niki Veley and husband Arden of Massachusetts; step grandson, Peter Gould and wife Kim of Washington, DC; step granddaughters: Caroline Gould Sparico and husband Tom of Hoboken, NJ, Kara and husband Alex Slawsby, Kristin and Erica Veley; and her beloved dog, Sitka. Joan was born in New York City and was raised there until the family moved to Los Angeles in 1939. Joan was a graduate of UCLA. She returned to NY in 1961 and worked in Retail and Fashion at Bloomingdales and Vogue Magazine before a 15 year career in the press office of the Metropolitan Museum. The Goulds moved to Greenwich, CT in 1974, and during the 1980's and 90's, Joan indulged her passion for voyaging as a travel agent. Joan followed her daughter to New Mexico in 1998. She was a life master bridge player and a lover of the arts. No flowers please. Instead donate to Animal Humane Organizations, local or national.
