PATRICK THOMPSON Age 75, of 4265 Hounds Lane in Santa Fe, NM 87507, known to his many friends as Pat passed on to his reward on March 1, 2013. Pat was born in Augusta Wisconsin to Keith Patrick and Eleanor Coakley Thompson on August 9th, 1937. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and is survived by his daughters, Patricia and husband Karl Stumpff as well as daughter Kimberly and husband David Souders and granddaughter Laurel Souders. Also surviving him are special friend and companion Placida Aragon and special friends Loretta Jaramillo and Conrad Rivera. Pat served during the Korean War as a member of the U.S. Air Force from 5/31/55 as an Electrical Specialist until his Honorable discharge on 2/19/1959. He was a disabled American Veteran but continued to pursue a career as a licensed Electrical Contractor. Pat also worked for Home Depot as a Sales Associate until a recent illness forced his retirement after many years of service with the company. This recent illness brought on his death. Pat was a very talented electrician and over the years acquired many friends. He was very well known and popular throughout Santa Fe and Northern counties. Pat will be missed very much by all of his friends. All who knew Pat well had nothing but praise for him. Pat was a man for "All Seasons". Reminiscent of the poem by: Robert Louis Stevenson Under the wide and starry sky Dig the grave and let me die Glad did I live and gladly die, And I laid me down with a will. This be the verse you grave for me: "Here he lies where he longed to be: Home is the Sailor, Home from the Sea, And the Hunter Home From the Hill" A Rosary will be held at the Rivera Family Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. 417 East Rodeo Rd.
