Beverly Giles Cobb - SAVANNAH - Beverly Giles Cobb, 80, Savannah, Georgia passed away at 11:50 A.M. on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, Tallahassee, Florida. She was born on November 13, 1933 in Kokomo to the late Vivan and Margaret (Weaver) Giles. Beverly graduated from Kokomo High School in 1952 and then served with the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Later Beverly worked as an LPN for Georgia Regional Hospital in Savannah for over 25 years. She enjoyed working with flowers, but her family was most important to her. She worked multiple jobs to make sure her family had everything they needed. Beverly is survived by her children, Bill (Sandy) Cobb of Tallahassee, Florida and Beverly Shawn Cobb; grandson, Matthew Cobb of Georgia; brothers, Robert Giles Sr. of Greentown and Gerald (Deloris) Giles of LaSalle, Colorado; and sister, Shirley Jean (Paul) Frazier of Kokomo. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; son, Buddy Cobb; brothers, Fred, Bill and Donald Giles; sisters, Sharon Giles and Kay Steur; sisters-in-law, Elsie Giles, Mary Giles and Josephine Giles; and nephew, Rick Frazier. There was a funeral service on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo, with Pastor Dennis Chapman officiating. Following the funeral service, Beverly was laid to rest in Albright Cemetery, Kokomo with military rites provided by the Kokomo VFW and the United States Navy Military Rites Teams. Beverly's friends and family joined for a time of visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, August 1, 2014, also at the mortuary.
