Caroll David Floyd - SAVANNAH - Caroll David Floyd, 89, of Savannah, was called to be with his savior, Jesus. He is reunited with his wife Marion for eternity. He was born in Willie, Georgia on October 5, 1924. and he was preceded in death by his wife, Marion and his daughter Susie. As a veteran, he served in the US Army, in the 79th Infantry Divison, and was the last member in the Division, and his family of 14. He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart for meritorious service. He was a lifetime member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, the Louise Freeman Sunday School Class, and the Men's Club. He was a machinist, tool and die maker at The American Can Company for over 40 years, until he retired. He was a great family man, and a well known fisherman and outdoorsman. He is survived by his son, John Charles Floyd, and wife Eiline of Statesboro, Ga; a daughter, Sandra F. Westmoreland and her husband, Bill Westmoreland of Stilson, Georgia., 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. Visitation: 4 - 6 p.m. Tuesday at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2020 Tennessee Avenue, Savannah, Ga 31404. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, with Rev.
