Mr. Earl Lemon, Sr. - SAVANNAH - Mr. Earl Lemon, Sr., was born January 22, 1948 in Savannah, GA, to Mrs. Ruthie Mae Mobley and the late Mr. Ernest Lemon. He was educated in Pierce County School System graduating with his high school diploma from Lee Street High School in Blackshear, GA. Mr. Earl Lemon. Sr., served as an E6 on the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War. After retiring from serving his country Mr. Lemon dedicated over ten years to the Howard Sheppard Trucking Company as a truck driver. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife, Hattie Denise Lemon; mother, Ruthie Mae Mobley; children, Allecia Rouse, Nakieta Austin, Doretha Rivers, and Katrina Brown; stepmother, Edna Lemon; sisters, Shirley (Emmitt) Porter, Betty Jones, Vivian Lemon, Carolyn Bethea, Patricia (Bill) Taylor, and Willie Mae (John) Jackson; brothers, Homer Lemon, Harold Lonnon, Herman (Jessie M.) Lemon, Ronnie (Lucy) Cope, Lonnie Jenkins, Paul Jenkins, and Willie (Sissy) Jenkins, eight grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Lithway Baptist Church, with Rev. Leonard Smalls. Burial at Macedonia Baptist Church in Ellabell, GA.
