Eva Rob Cheshire (Bobbee) Womack - SAVANNAH - Eva Rob Cheshire (Bobbee) Womack passed away February 11, 2013 at her home. Born October 27, 1919 in Atlanta, Georgia to Robert Petty and Eva Slider Cheshire, she graduated from the University of Georgia in 1942 with a BA Degree in Journalism. During her college years she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and also earned her Private Pilots Flying License under the U.S. Government program. She was married to 2nd Lt. Jack Edward Womack, of Atlanta, Georgia, in 1942 in San Antonio, Texas, and during World War II Lt. Womack was transferred to several bases in the U.S. In 1944 the family was blessed with a son, Jack Jr. and again in 1945 with a daughter, Patricia Eve. Following a three year tour (1962-1965) in Cairo, Egypt as the U.S. Embassy Air Attache, Col. Womack retired from military service and the family returned to Atlanta. Nineteen years later, in 1984, they moved to Savannah, Georgia. Here Bobbee was a charter member of the Skidaway Island Landings Art Association for twenty-five years, a longtime member of the Thursday Neighborhood Bible Study Group, and a member of the Nine Hole Ladies Golf Club. In addition to her husband and two children, she is survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church.
