Dr. James Flemister O'Neill - SAVANNAH - Dr. James Flemister O'Neill, 86, beloved father, grandfather and friend, of St. Petersburg passed on June 11, 2013. James was born in Savannah, Georgia on April 7, 1927. A graduate of Princeton University, class of 1949, and Duke Medical School, class of 1954, he began his practice of Ophthalmology in St. Petersburg and practiced for 30 years. An ardent sailor, he raced on the west coast of Florida and often cruised solo to Miami and the Bahamas. He married Anne O'Neill in 1952. He is survived by his loving children, Sandy Batchelor-Robjohns, Dr. James F. O'Neill, Jr. (Joyce), Dr. Elizabeth Greenhill (Jeff) and Lisa O'Neill Walker (James). He is survived by nine wonderful grandchildren- Ramie O'Neill Graves (Paul), Stegin Mark (Jonathan), James Greenhill, Jennifer Kane (Danny), Natalie Greenhill, Alyse Scurlock, Caridad Mas-Batchelor, Robert Walker and John Walker.
