Mr. Jean Baptiste Colas, Sr. - SAVANNAH - Mr. Jean Baptiste Colas, Sr., 94, entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family under the care of Hospice. He was a native of Cap Haiti and has lived in Savannah, GA for over 30 years. He served in the United States Coast Guard as a Merchant Seaman. He was a member of The Cathedral of St. John The Baptist where he served as an Usher and Minister of the Eucharist. Leaving his fondest memories to his wife, Alma Dunham Colas, four sons, Jean (Patrice) Colas, Jr. of Maryland, Paul Colas of Hawaii, Parnell Colas of Atlanta, GA, Redell (Sandra) Oakley of California, two daughters, Cora Lee (Carl) Haracha of Milford, NJ and Annette Oakley of Savannah, GA, a host of grands, great grands, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 noon Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at The Cathedral of St. John The Baptist 324 Abercorn Street Savannah, GA Burial ~ Private. Sidney A.
