Joan Houlihan Shotts - SAVANNAH - Joan Houlihan Shotts, born March 7, 1955, died on Thursday, September 19, 2013, after a brief illness. She was the beloved daughter of her late parents, James P. Houlihan and Joan Egan Houilhan. A native and life-long resident of Savannah, Joanie graduated from Savannah High School and attended the University of Georgia. Joanie was a gentle spirit with a sly sense of humor. She was a lover of all animals, especially her cherished dogs and cats. She will be missed by friends and family alike. Joanie is survived by her former husband, John Shotts of Savannah, her uncle and aunt, Michael Joseph Egan and Donna Cole Egan of Atlanta, her aunt, Sharon Brown Egan of Atlanta, and her cousin, Dr. J. Robert Logan and his wife Virginia of Savannah, and many other cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church of Savannah at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 23rd, followed by a private burial in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
