I could not believe it today when I heard that Savannah had lost one of it's kindest characters, I wondered why I had not seen him at the diner. I met Billy in the wild and crazy 70's and he was a very witty guy and introduced me to people that are still my good friends to this very day. . Billy, hold a place by the dance floor for me and Tina....Til we meet again-Cynthia LaRoche

I worked for Dr. Alpert early in the 80's. He taught me much about surgeries and X-rays. He taught me compassion for ages of all kinds and had a witty sense of humor. He taught me to appreciate the "Eurythmics" as he used to "rock out" in the office with the speakers blaring! Wonderful memories of him and Reggie , his afghan hound. God be with you and my heart felt condolences to his family.

Just today I found out you were gone. I remember as children when we ate potato stixs out of a can with ketchup, while you hung around my house or should I say Buster Godfrey's guitar shop. See you in heaven. May the memory of the righteous be a blessing.

I love you,

My condolences to the family. I met Billy, "Doc" at The Diner on Abercorn formerly Pancake Palace years ago. He was a loyal customer that always had a smile on his face and ordered the usual everyday. He had a big heart, a smile that could make you smile, and a great personality. He will be missed by many. I hope we all remember the good times and unique traits that he shared with us.

To Billy's family. As great as a husband/Dad/Step-Dad/ Billy was, he was equally as great as a true friend as we both took baby steps into Life as young people. To hear that such a dear friend from my youth has passed away, breaks my heart. But his smile and wonderful legacy live on. All our Love from Danny and Tresha and the Kramer clan here in Utah

I have just learned of this and am greatly shocked. I can't believe that my good friend Billy has left us. I just saw him at the post office last week where he did tell me that he'd just gotton out of the hospital from having some test run. He was a man of many talents and I will miss him very much. My prayers go out to his family.

Billy, you were such a great friend, always warm and welcoming and full of wisdom, humor and generosity. You were the life and soul of Lake Mayer Hockey. You always motivated your team with your example on the rink, and your words of wisdom and you still had a great shot even when you slowed down in later years. You made us all enjoy life better, with laughs, friendship, and all the cookouts par excellence you put on for the team. We will continue to play the sport you loved so much and skate in your honor at the rink you helped keep alive. You will be missed Bill.

Billy, You are truly TSGO (THE SAVANNAH GREAT ONE.
