Frederick L. "Fritz" Mack, 60, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Ashland, passed away Feb. 28 at Jacaranda Manor nursing center, St. Petersburg, Fla., where he had resided since 1985.

Born in Baltimore, Dec. 22, 1953, he was a son of Mary "Molly" Mack, Dunedin, Fla., and the late George "Reds" Mack, who later moved to Ashland with their four children in 1959.

He was a 1971 graduate of Ashland Area Joint High School and was in his second year at Penn State University on a Naval ROTC scholarship when he was involved in a severe car crash that left him permanently disabled.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his older brother, George F. Mack III.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, Molly, are a brother, Dr. Ronald Mack, Hudson, Fla.; a sister and her husband, Laurie and Ron Davis, Baltimore, Md.; niece and her husband, Dr. Mollie Davis and Carl Kellenberger, Glen Burnie, Md., and their two daughters.

Private services were held in Clearwater, Fla.
