Helen Virginia "Ginny" Snover Spaide, 46, of Germansville, passed away suddenly Friday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township.

She was the wife of Daniel S. Spaide. The couple had celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary Dec. 17.

Born in Trenton, N.J., Aug. 21, 1967, Ginny was a daughter of Kenneth R. and Grace M. Bittenbender Snover, Hazleton.

She was a graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in English and secondary education and a master's degree in guidance from Kutztown University.

Since 2001, Ginny was employed as a guidance and career teacher at Nazareth Area Middle School. Prior to that, she was an English teacher at Phillip Lauer Middle School, Wilson Borough.

She was a member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Slatington.

Surviving, in addition to her husband and parents, are children, Hannah I. Spaide, Trevor D. Spaide and Victoria G. Spaide, all at home; sisters, Sue E. Crawford and her husband, Kevin, Zion Grove, Cynthia L. Cusate, Freeland, Amy L. Katzen and her husband, Andy, Media; mother-in-law, Connie I. Rossi Spaide Ososki, Beaver Meadows; nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 14 E. Oak St., Sheppton, with the Rev. James M. Torpey as the celebrant. Family and friends may pay their respects from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the H. Virginia Spaide Memorial Fund c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box 196, Schnecksville, PA 18078-0196.
