Janet M. Everhart, 59, of Port Carbon, passed away Saturday with her family by her side at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.
Born in Altoona, Sept. 19, 1954, she was a daughter of Jean Kozain Baumgartner, Altoona, and the late Carl Baumgartner.
A 1972 graduate of Altoona Area High School, she worked as a pharmacy technician for several local pharmacies and lastly worked for Rite Aid, Pottsville.
Janet loved playing with her granddaughters, cooking for everyone, going on vacations to the Outer Banks, N.C., swimming and taking care of the pool for everyone to enjoy it. Janet was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband of 41 years, Craig R. Everhart, Port Carbon; a son, C.J. Everhart and his wife, Trista, Schaefferstown; two daughters, Angie M. Everhart and her companion, Jason Wells, DuBois, and Gina L. Groff and her husband, Alex, Lancaster; two granddaughters, Taylor Marie and Reese Everhart, Schaefferstown; two brothers, Carl Baumgartner, Colorado, and Fred Baumgartner, Altoona; sister, Donna L. Hite, Altoona; nieces and nephews; and all the other people she took in and treated as family.
Services and interment will be held privately at the convenience of family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the
